TORONTO'S HALO

Vince Carter's rookie year was a movie, fam! The '99-'00 season will go down as one of the most electric debuts in NBA history. VC averaged 18.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, while throwing down dunks like they were going outta style.

DUNK CONTEST DOMINATION

Who can forget that All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest? Carter's off-the-glass, 360 windmill, behind-the-back dunk combo still gives chills. He took home the hardware, and the spotlight, with style.

RAPTORS' FIRST PLAYOFF BERTH

Carter didn't just ball; he took Toronto with him. The Raptors made their first playoff appearance, pushing the Knicks to seven games. VC's impact was felt, and his legacy in TO was cemented.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

The haters didn't stand a chance. Carter took home the top rookie honor, solidifying his status as one of the league's top young guns.

FEATURE STORIES

ALLEN IVERSON: THE ANSWER KEEPS ANSWERING

Allen Iverson's sophomore season was a statement. The Philadelphia 76ers' young gun averaged 22.4 points, 4.7 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, leading his team to a 49-win season and a playoff berth. Iverson's explosive scoring ability, combined with his lightning-quick crossover, made him a nightmare for opponents to guard.

He was a force to be reckoned with, and his confidence was palpable. The Answer was answering, and the league was taking notice.

KEVIN GARNETT: KG'S KOMPELLING SEASON

Kevin Garnett's third season in the league was a breakout one. The Minnesota Timberwolves' big man averaged 22.9 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game, leading his team to a 50-win season.

Garnett's intensity and athleticism raised the bar for the Timberwolves, and his all-around game made him a top contender for the league's Most Valuable Player award. He was a dominant force in the paint, and his energy was infectious.

JASON KIDD: KIDD'S KOMPLETE GAME

Jason Kidd's first season with the Phoenix Suns was a resounding success. The point guard averaged 14.3 points, 9.0 assists, and 6.3 rebounds per game, leading his team to 53 wins and the Western Conference Finals. Kidd's triple-double machine was in full gear, and his ability to distribute the ball and control the tempo of the game made him the heart of the Suns' offense.

His leadership and court vision were key to the team's success, and he proved himself to be one of the league's top playmakers.
